I have been teaching piano and voice privately for about 25 years now.  I began teaching while I was studying music education at Cal State Long Beach and have maintained a private studio since that time.  I have taught children's choirs at church, community groups and classes, and voice classes at Orange County High School of the Arts (for three years.) I received my master's degree in vocal performance in 2006 from the Bob Cole Conservatory at CSULB and began teaching at the college level as well.  I taught private voice at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Hollywood, CA for four years.  I have been teaching at Los Angeles Harbor College (voice classes, private voice, and music theory) for the past 15 years.  I was the vocal coordinator at Cal State Dominguez Hills for 3 years, teaching private voice, voice class, University Choir, pedagogy, and musicianship.  I still teach private voice there, but am currently the vocal coordinator at California Polytechnic University at Pomona. I have taught private voice, class voice, and the vocal jazz ensemble at CPP for the past 13  years, but now additionally teach performance seminar, diction, the musical theater workshop, and lead all voice students.  I also adjudicate competitions/festivals on occasion, have developed summer voice programs, and have taught many master classes.  I maintain a private studio in Cypress, Orange County where I teach private voice and piano to around 25 students typically.

I charge $40/half hour for pianists, $45/half hour for the novice vocalist, and $60/45 minutes for more experienced singers.  Some additional discounts are available for multiple instruments and/or multiple students.  I accept cash, checks, venmo and zelle.
